An answer for the stores using WIC

Most all cashiers need to enter a START and END date when presented with a WIC card at the checkstand.

Here is what they need to do in order to get around the 01/01/00 date entry.

Any card with an END date in January, 2000 must be entered as an END date of 12/31/99. Regardless of the 1999 START date on the card.

When the Master rolls over to the year 2000, then it will no longer accept a START DATE which falls in 1999.

Therefore on 01/01/00 and after.... they will enter a START DATE of 01/01/00.... and proceed with the appropriate END DATE.

In summary: WIC cards will ALL end on 12/31/99 until January 1st. Then they will ALL start on 01/01/00.

This obviously will iron itself out when all the cards have been issued in January... and they are into the February dates, etc. : )
