Hobart Corporation Announces Year 2000 Compliance 04/03/98

Troy, Ohio (March 1998) -- Hobart recognizes the need to ensure its businesses, products and services will not be adversely impacted by Year 2000 hardware/software failures. The company has developed a comprehensive Year 2000 Compliance program, encompassing all areas that could impact Hobart products, business systems and production capabilities.

Following is the Hobart Year 2000 Compliance statement concerning the products our company sells and services.

Year 2000 Compliance By Product Line

Bakery Products: No Year 2000 compliancy issues.

Cooking Products: No Year 2000 compliancy issues.

Food Machine Products: No Year 2000 compliancy issues.

Refrigeration Products: No Year 2000 compliancy issues.

Warewashing Products: No Year 2000 compliancy issues.

Weighing Products:

All Electronic Scales with date storage or tracking functions are Year 2000 compliant.

ScaleMaster software version 1.xxx, 2.xxx or 3.xxx (used for scale networking) are not Year 2000 compliant.

Customers having versions ScaleMaster 1.xxx, 2.xxx or 3.xxx must up-grade to one of the new Year 2000 compliant upgrade versions, 4.0d3 or 4.0e.

Customers having version ScaleMaster 4.0d2 or less must also upgrade to one of the new versions, 4.0d3 or 4.0e.

POS equipment with version 2.0 or 3.0 GroceryMaster software is Year 2000 compliant.
